Sport has always been an important aspect of school life here in Scoil Mhuire.

The school has a strong sporting tradition with many of our past pupils becoming sporting heroes. Many of our students have received sporting scholarships; Ryan Curran (Soccer), Susan Noone (Soccer), Ian Gaynor (Swimming America), Conor O'Donnell (Soccer), Colm McLaughlin (Soccer), Johnny Bonner (Soccer America), Darrach O'Connor (Gaelic), Georgie Kelly (Soccer), Kyle McCarron (Golf), Mark Coyle (Gaelic), Caolan McGonagle (Gaelic), Peter Doherty (Soccer) and Denver Kelly (Soccer). Numerous other students have represented the school at local, national and international level. Scoil Mhuire has also won the award for 'Sports School of the Year' three times at the Donegal Sports Partnership Awards.
