Christmas Jumper day
Keep this in your mind when you are out shopping as there are plenty of great T-shirts and jumpers available at the minute. A homemade version of course would be even better and might deserve a prize.
TY usually runs this day for the school. We will need posters to advertise and Ms Grant to confirm a date that suits. I was thinking maybe we could organise it in conjunction with Ms Whelan’s class seeing as some of you already work with these students in Art class already.

Student ID cards
As you are aware we were looking at the possibility of getting you ID cards. They would cost around 12-15 euro. Not sure if you want these for ID or discounts but if it's just for discounts then this is an excellent free alternative that I know many teenagers use. Some of you may be already registered.

College Awareness week
This week we are thinking about college courses and apprenticeships. Please take a bit of time to look at the following

There is lots of information about courses for all students. If you search TY work experiences and TY open days you will find possible virtual events you can attend throughout the year. Take the opportunity to explore possibilities for college as this will help you to choose your fifth year subjects.
Also ask your teachers this week about their career path, did they go straight to college? What jobs have they done? What are their qualifications?
