Work Experience
Well done on getting your first work experience completed this week. Please make sure you get your work experience report completed and back to us. Ms McElhinney gave them out last week along with a Thank you card. There is also a copy in the Work Experience google classroom. If you can, it would be nice to show your appreciation to whoever looked after you on your work experience with a box of chocolates or something similar. If you would like to continue the work experience next week you are more than welcome to do so. Maybe your employer might need you in the run up to Christmas.
You will start your next work experience on Wednesday 11th of January. The documents are ready to be given out by Ms McElhinney and will be available in the google classroom. This is a long second work experience so if you want to do a third one half way through then go for it. Please give this work experience the heads up that you may do this.
Your work experience diary is due this Friday and should be uploaded to the work experience google classroom.
All of the documents required for your work experience returned count towards your credits in TY.
Volunteers for Chromebooks
As you are aware there are over 100 chromebooks for TY and these are not always put back properly or plugged in to charge at the end of the day. As there are some students who haven't started volunteering yet for Gaisce I thought maybe six students who need the hours and don’t get a bus might volunteer to check the chromebooks at home time every day. Three students would be needed per week so you could do it week about. It wouldn't take more than ten minutes at the end of the day. Please send Ms McGonagle an email if you can do this.
Trade Fair
Well done to everyone who took part in the trade fair. It was a great day and especially to the winning businesses. These businesses will be given the opportunity to enter the student enterprise awards and the NIFte award. We will look into that after the Christmas break.

Christmas Treasure hunt
We will be doing our Christmas Treasure hunt on Thursday from 11.15am -12.30pm.
We will not be going on our Christmas Trip to Derry on Monday the 21st. I can’t get the logistics to work as everywhere is too busy before Christmas. Our numbers are big so it's hard to get places to accommodate. However we will do something else local next week and will still have our trip but arrange it for when places are quieter in January.
Please work on your emails, google classroom, work experience diary and competitions now.
